As Xi and Putin meet at Zero Aries,
where Saturn and Neptune will meet in 2026, bringing forth Multipolarity and Socialism
The Sun is at Zero Aries and the Moon is New.
Zero Aries is the first degree of the zodiac and the vernal point, a cardinal point, marking the change of seasons. The New Moon also happens now at this very degree, which represents birth.
It is at Zero Aries that Saturn and Neptune are to meet in February 2026, a milestone conjunction in the change of the world-system which the 2020s deliver.
With the waters of March, a month marked by two highly significant ingresses, Saturn in Pisces and Pluto in Aquarius, comes this special New Moon together with the Equinox.
And what an epic Equinox. It is Spring in the land of the rising Sun – Russia, the land furthest East, where the Sun first rises.
In Moscow, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin meet. These two leaders have noteworthy connections to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and their work serves its purpose.
Firstly, the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune relates to the history of both the Russian and the Chinese nations, now led by them, having stablished a no-limits, more than alliance, rock-solid strategic partnership.
Moreover, both leaders have the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in their natal charts.
Both Putin’s speech in Munich in 2007, proposing Eurasian Integration, and Xi’s proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative (One Belt One Road) in Astana in 2013, as well as their confluent affirmation of a Multipolar World at the UNGA in 2015, have connections to these aspects which indicate a change of world-systems – each of these moments connecting to one or two major aspects in the great configuration (as explained in The Great Mutation of the World-System).
Interestingly, Putin and Xi met for the first time when the Sun was on the initial degrees of Aries, 2º to be precise. Their first meeting as heads of states, also as a first state visit after Xi became president, in 2013, took place with Venus, goddess of partnerships and relations, exactly at Zero Aries. So their bond as heads of states was founded in connection to this degree.
More recently, with Jupiter at Zero Aries, on December 30, 2022 – 100 years since the birth of the USSR – Presidents Xi and Putin unpretentiously, but publicly announced, met online.
Today, meeting for what might be the 41st time, they cross through the Equinox and into the Zero Aries lunation together.
The occasion is of such importance that Venus is accompanied by the asteroid of respectability and official relations Juno, and they both conjunct the North Lunar Node in Taurus, pointing to financial and economic changes which disempower the economy of the imaginary and empower the economy of real assets.
And how peculiar: Venus-Juno-North Node conjunct right on the Sun-Mercury-Venus conjunction of the two countries’ joint declaration of a multipolar world in 1997. Some things take time. But when time is ripe, there is no stopping it.
If back in the day, with Gramsci, the old world was dying but the new wasn’t born yet and we still had to dream it, now the new is coming into existence.
A major change of the world-system unfolds, and it does not go in the direction for which Mackinder would have aimed. The great Eurasian powers, well-aligned with their multipolar partnerships, bring us the Eastern winds, recalibrating the geopolitical compass, and a new era emerges.
Both China and Russia mediate and help rekindle relations in West Asia, where nations take initiative as well in restoring dialogue and cooperation among them. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS are to expand. Forty African nations are currently meeting in Moscow, in the conference Russia-Africa in a Multipolar World.
Pluto’s ingress in Aquarius (Mar 23) points to the power of cooperation and the power of peoples, as he too enters a significant degree: Zero Aquarius, the degree of the Great Mutation (Dec 2020), another major aspect of this decade.
And with Saturn in Pisces (since Mar 7), we set sail into yet another level of epic in this great transition of worlds and systems. In the Neptunian realm, he now further structures the multipolar world which is being conceived, building the polycentric system. Its birth culminates when Saturn and Neptune ingress in the sign of Aries and conjunct each other on its Zero degree, in about three years from now. Nonetheless, this special week connects all these major aspects – a cardinal moment which takes us into the newness of time.
Let us look into some astrological considerations on Xi-Putin and Russia-China relations.
Putin-Xi Synastry and Composition
Synastry is the relation between the different natal charts of the two people, how one interacts with the other. Composite is the technique which combines the two charts in one and shows the entity which is formed by the two people coming together, how their partnership is experienced, and how it presents itself and interacts with the world.
Xi Jinping’s time of birth is unknown. Albeit, the considerations I here express are based only on the astrological data which does not depend on the specific time, but can be known simply by using the date of birth for calculations.
Vladimir Putin’s Gemini Moon is conjunct Xi Jinping’s Jupiter, an auspicious contact between charts, which expands good feelings, generosity and recognition for one another. Additionally, in this conjunction are included asteroids Juno (respectability, official partnerships) and Pallas (strategy, geopolitics).
In the composite, they are a Sun-Pluto conjunction in Leo – a powerful and transformative leadership.
Even considering all possible times XI could have been born, the composite Moon has only one possible sign it can be in, which is the sign of Cancer, possibly conjunct asteroid of crops and nourishment, Ceres. This stresses the care-taking and nurturing quality they transmit together.
The Mars-Jupiter in an Earth trine indicates the capacity for consistent and productive work, which does not rush – Earth takes its time to bring the necessary consistency and stability. It can be favorable in both economic, industrial and military dimensions (in the signs of Taurus and Virgo).
As mentioned above, both have the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in their astrological charts, in the sign of Libra. Therefore, in the composite the Saturn-Neptune is present as well. The same occurs with the Lunar Nodes, which point to the mission of the incarnation, the purpose in life. They both have them in the Leo-Aquarius axis – the ancestral memory is one of rulership and self-worth; the mission is to serve the collective.
In their composite chart, this North Lunar Node in Aquarius is in conjunction to Venus, highlighting that the partnership is one dedicated to the group, the collective, the cause, the purpose. It is interesting to notice that this Venus-North Node conjunction also conjuncts the Moon in both China’s and Russia’s individual charts, as well as in the two countries combined charts, for their Moons are in conjunction – this is a major highlight and brings interesting historical observations.
Let us see the countries astrological interaction and combination.
China-Russia Synastry and Composition
When we consider the Russia’s Day chart for Russia (June 12, 1990) – which has become the day to celebrate the nation, and the chart which I have now been using for some time and it works – Russia has the Moon right with China’s Moon.
That is, experiencing the end of the Cold War, the changes after the collapse of the Soviet Union, has somehow brought the peoples (Moons) closer, emphasizing familiarity, whilst being respectful of differences (Aquarius).
The composite of the two countries charts – People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation – indicates close friendship between peoples (Moons conjunct in Aquarius by synastry), and a potent creative force when together (White Moon conjunct Black Moon by composite).
Additional Observations in Regards to the Two Leaders
Both came to power with Total Solar Eclipses. Xi was elected to the posts of general secretary of the CCP and chairman of the CMC in November 2012, when an eclipse in Scorpio occurred (Solar Saros 133). Putin became Prime-Minister in August 1999, when an eclipse occurred in Leo (Solar Saros 145) and, in addition, when a Venus Star-Point took place in Leo, all in his 10th house, house of career and public stance.
The Saros series Solar 133 began in 1219, during the Mongol Empire. Whilst the Saros series 145 began in 1639, at the beginning of the Romanov Dynasty, reign of Mikhail I. Both prosperous and outstanding periods. What does this say? That the ancestral legacy behind these two gentlemen is huge. Historical forces way beyond themselves as individuals propel them in their missions. Their dedication, experience, maturity, developed competences and sense of responsibility are fundamental in the quality they bring as leaders – undoubtedly so. Nonetheless, the purpose they serve is yet greater than them (and they happen to be pretty great guys, I must say).
Historical forces are at play in a great transition, a great mutation of the very world-system. And it is not a mere coincidence they both have this Saturn-Neptune conjunction in their charts and now meet at the time of the Sun’s ingress in Zero Aries, the Equinox, with a special New Moon at Zero Aries as they’re both together in the Russian capital; in the same month where Saturn entered Pisces, heading to conjunct Neptune at Zero Aries in 2026, an immensely significant aspect in the change of the world-system; and also when Pluto ingresses in Aquarius, on the degree of the Great Mutation, another absolutely major aspect.
The occasion is so precious – it makes it a bit hard to find the words to properly express it. The longings and struggles of peoples, generations of peoples, brought us to this transition, where we are to move into an era of a more just world and a shared future for humanity.
At this moment in time, the dangers are huge. But the power of the peoples who long for a more respectful way to co-exist is to prevail. Precisely because this happens to be such a potent moment, the abusive and pernicious intensify their attacks. Thus the times call for strength and readiness to defend. in an epic battle of hybrid nature, which will, inevitably, result in the change of the world-system.
Zero Aries activates the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction
Saturn-Neptune aspects are historically related to socialism and communism, as stated in my 2020 works. And this – to use Mister Lavrov’s precise word – cardinal astrological configuration, which includes a really rare conjunction between these two planets on Zero Aries, unmistakably points to a new system, and one which results from such previous experiences, advancing into yet new forms of socialism.
Whatsoever we might want to call the system which is to prevail in our world, it undoubtedly draws from this legacy and advances, for it has yet to flourish further and be experienced in more refined expressions, which consider both the collective and individual dimensions.
In the same way, these transformations are not to be ideological impositions from nations onto other nations. They are to come pragmatically, and with each peoples’ characteristics and specifics timings.
Neptune in Aquarius brought Vladimir Putin to power (1998-1999). Neptune in Pisces brought Xi Jinping to power (2012-2013). In each case, Neptune ingressed into the new sign a year ahead, as if propelling them into higher positions, culminating as heads of state in less than two years.
Next is Neptune in Aries, bringing forth both their legacies in combined work (2025-2026). This is the very Saturn-Jupiter conjunction at Zero Aries, which can be understood as a process taking place from 2023 to 2028 (Saturn in Pisces and in Aries periods).
China’s and Russia’s composite chart have Neptune right on the Ascendant, in the transformative sign of Scorpio, with both Saturn and Neptune rising on the East horizon. The transformation they are to lead is marked in the mandates of heaven.
Times ahead are tough, but through the dangers and challenges, a new era is forged, of a fairer world and a shared future for humanity.
Lo and behold, here dawns the newness of time and it will bring forth the multipolar order and, with it, socialism and its advancements.
