The world is undergoing a Tectonic Shift.
The Taurus emphasis, in the current astrological transits, speaks of the economic dimension in the change of the world-system. It articulates with the major transits indicating this great transition, and brings to the table the Cornucopia of the Multipolar World.
For better comprehension, I will first contextualize the change of the world-system in the 2020s. Secondly, we will look into the specifics of the Taurus emphasis, as well as the myth of the Cornucopia and its relation to our current context. Thirdly, we will observe concrete examples, articulating the heavenly affairs and the worldly matters, to better perceive the direction in which we are heading, considering also important related astrological aspects to come as Jupiter transits in Taurus (2023-2024).
Key Aspects Marking the Change of the World-System in the 2020s

In the year 2020, we had two of major aspects marking the change of the world-system:
- At the beginning of the year, Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto in Capricorn marked THE END – the end of the world as we knew it.
- At the end of 2020, Jupiter-Saturn in air, the aspect of the Great Mutation, marked THE BEGINNING – the beginning of a new world.
But what new world is this going to be – just a “Great Reset” of the same system but on steroids, or an actual Great Mutation of systems?
The answer to this question is to be found in the articulation with Neptune. It is the articulation of the Great Mutation players, Jupiter and Saturn, to Neptune which brings the conception and the birth of this new world and new world-system:
- the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, which we’ve had in March-April of 2022 – THE CONCEPTION;
- and the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at Zero Aries we will have in 2026 – THE BIRTH.
All of these aspects have Uranus in the sign of Taurus (2018-2026). Moreover, the Great Mutation has Uranus in Taurus as its dispositor – the host, the ruler of the sign where the astrological event occurred, namely Aquarius. Thus, to the Great Mutation ruled by Uranus in Taurus, a Taurean touch is cast. The scope of what it implies is somewhat vast – to name a few: materiality, tangible resources, attachment/detachment from matter, organic vs. digital, materializing technology, digitalizing money, monetary-financial-economic changes. This is yet enhanced by the fact that Pluto’s ingress in Aquarius (2023-2044) has the very same dispositor and, since it is a pretty large transit, it somehow expands the reach of this Uranus in Taurus as well.
The Articulation between Aspects since the GREAT MUTATION
Observing the articulations between the big players (the planets which have longer cycles, concerning the social and collective spheres) since the Great Mutation (GM), we are able to understand more clearly how it unfolds.
These big players are the social chronocrators – Jupiter and Saturn; and the transaturnian planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
Considering the transaturnian, Pluto has conjuncted the two GM players, Jupiter and Saturn, ahead (early 2020), marking the END and clearing the way for the Great Mutation; and he will be transiting on the GM’s degree of 0º Aquarius in 2023 and 2024.
Then there are the other two, Neptune and Uranus, and how the GM players articulate with each them is highly elucidative.
- Saturn with Uranus, 2021-2022

- Saturn with Neptune, 2026
The articulation to Neptune has been described in a nutshell above, namely the conception and the birth of the new world-system, which I address in other works of mine. The present work, however, is dedicated to the articulation of the GM players to Uranus, specifically related to the monetary-financial-economic sphere in this great transition.
To the big players’ move, the Lunar Nodes add their groove, working as connectors or shifters. Between December 2021 and July 2023, the Lunar Nodes are in the axis of Scorpio-Taurus – axis of resources, money, finance and economics. During this period, they sharply aspect the Saturn-Uranus square, with the North Node highlighting Taurus, where it is yet to conjunct Jupiter in 2023, ahead of the latter’s conjunction to Uranus in 2024.
The Taurus Emphasis

Before going into the concrete examples, we must comprehend the Uranus-led Taurus Emphasis piece by piece, and put the pieces together. We can understand it as encompassing the Tectonic Dance (Saturn in Aquarius – Uranus in Taurus square); the Lunar Nodes Shifting Groove (Nodes in Scorpio-Taurus axis); the Tectonic Shift (taking place with the combination of the previous two); and the Cornucopia (articulating the Tectonic Shift and Jupiter’s coming transit in Taurus).
The Tectonic Shift
The Saturn-Uranus square, Dance of the Tectonic Plates which speaks of structural changes, meets the Lunar Nodes in Scorpio-Taurus, the Nodal Groove which signals the weakening of speculation and manipulation; and the strengthening of what is concrete and what is consistent. Hence a Tectonic Shift occurs, intricately related to the great economic changes.
The Cornucopia fo the Multipolar World
Joining the party, comes Jupiter in Taurus on May 16 of 2023, opening the Cornucopia dimension of this emphasis in the tangible sign of Taurus. Jupiter will conjunct the North Lunar Node on May 27, 2023 (at 0º Taurus), and Uranus on April 20, 2024 (at 27º Taurus). But why Cornucopia?
The ancient meaning of the Cornucopia
In classical antiquity, the cornucopia – from the Latin cornu (horn) and copia (supply), also called the horn of plenty – was a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container or basket overflowing with varied agricultural products, flowers, nuts. Such horn-shaped baskets were traditionally used in West Asia and Europe to hold and transport freshly harvested food products.
When Zeus (Jupiter) was a baby, the goat goddess of nourishment Amalthea fed him with her milk. The future king of the Olympus had unusual abilities and strength and, whilst playing with his caretaker, he accidentally broke one of her horns, which then was bestowed with the divine power to provide endless nourishment, thus becoming a symbol of prosperity.
Interestingly, for the Cornucopia to come into existence, the horn had to be broken off. Something had to break, to detach, for the provision of plenty to become available to a greater extent – that is the Cornucopia wisdom. Therefore, we should ask, what is to be detached now? What needs to be let go of, to open the space for prosperity. Many where the detachments and changes in the world since the sanctions were heavily imposed on Russia as it dared initiate the rather unavoidable (and very much provoked) Special Military Operation. Although meant to harm Russia and anyone in its support, the detachment of the world as we knew it ironically open the space for multipolarity and for a new emerging system, heading towards dedollarization.
The cut, the detachment, can be easily associated to the Saturn-Uranus square (2021-2022), for the most emblematic mythological reference for this square is the castration of Uranus by Chronos-Saturn. First, Saturn squares Uranus: the castration, the breaking of the horn, the tectonic dance breaking the plates. Then comes Jupiter joining Uranus in Taurus: the Cornucopia of commodities and joint forces, to generate the power to provide.
On the Issue of Prosperity
Give and take, when to let go and when to conserve, sustainment, livelihood – these are themes brought to the table with the Taurus emphasis.
Who does not have? And who does have?
Who owes? And who owns?
What do we owe? And what do we own?
Hence, the issue of debt – at all levels: geo-economics, macroeconomics, and microeconomics. It is a a period that the sky really advises not to have debt, but to really try and get rid of debt as much as possible, and not to acquire debt – to seriously avoid it.
On the other hand, it is advisable to buy physical gold and silver. For those who are able to, of course. If that is not the case, the important thing is to be attentive to the tangible reality, observant of what is real and what matters in life, and how we deal with materiality – what objects we should keep and what objects to get rid of. One better check what are the supplies needed and provide for them. If the house needs fixing, better get it done. If one need new glasses, clothes or work equipment, it is recommendable to try and get them soon. It is a moment to cut off the excess luggage and provide that which is materially necessary for one’s well-being.
The concrete reality of tangible resources is strongly emphasized by the North Node in Taurus and the coming Jupiter in Taurus transit, unmistakably pointing to the importance of being reliable and dependable, of trustworthiness and consistency. Moreover, assets such as gold and silver will increase in value and importance. As bubbles filled with inconsistency burst or dismantle, the value of what is real can bring sustainment – in dimensions more than one.
Hunger and Food Supply
Once upon a time in the West… Grains and resources could be taken and kept for Westerners at the expense of Africans and others from the Global South.
About 34% of the grains of the Black Sea Grain Deal has been staying in Turkey; about 35% in EU countries. Only 3 to 5% actually going to the considered poorest countries (according to the UN classification), countries which were supposed to be the priority when the deal was made.
This reminds us of something else that occurred recently, within this astrological context, when the United States seized Afghanistan’s reserves; which, again, resembles what the bank of England has done by refusing to repatriate Venezuela’s gold since the year that Uranus ingressed in Taurus, 2018. Not to mention what has been done, by Western countries, to the reserves and assets of Iraq, Iran, Russia.
The issue of hunger and food supply is prominent with the Black Moon in Cancer and the North Lunar Node in Taurus.
Tangible Goods, Commodities and Concrete Resources
Food, raw materials, precious metals, tangible assets, energy resources to sustain life have real, concrete value. The materiality of life cannot be dismissed.
At this time, speculation is a dangerous game and, eventually, won’t pay off. That which has real value, nonetheless, will pay substantially.
The inconsistency of financial economy faces the material capacity of industrial economy.

And what is money worth?
Dedollarization in the Making
Print print print, as if there were no tomorrow. Or rather just click, click, click! Adding zeros. The FED does as it wishes. And, within the frame of the hegemony of the dollar, it affects the whole world. The dollar is, still, the global reserve currency since Breton Woods (1944), having decoupled from the tangible asset of gold with Nixon (1971), and being saved from its inconsistency by the petrodollar with the Saudis (1974). But that is all about to change. Dedollarization is in the making.
As Michael Hudson puts it, “U.S diplomacy has been able to maintain its Financial dominance over the world economy no longer because of its power as the world’s biggest creditor, but as its biggest debtor” (Hudson, 2022, p. 186 of The Destiny of Civilization).
However, as Vladimir Putin stated in June 2022 at the Saint Petersburg Forum, when geopolitics goddess Pallas was conjunct North Lunar Node in Taurus: ‘‘The economy of imaginary wealth is inevitably being replaced by the economy of tangible and real assets.’’
He precisely describes the Tectonic Shift, where the weakness of speculation and manipulation is perceived (South Node in Scorpio), and the strength of the concrete and consistent is felt (North Node in Taurus), as structural changes take place (Saturn-Uranus square).
As the different astrological points traveling in the sky touch by aspects this configuration, small or larger movements occur in the world, which together drive structural changes in the system, with massive financial and economic effects. Importantly, that is not to say that the stars are causing it. They are telling it. They indicate issues and timings at play in the world.
Examples
We will now look into concrete examples, the core aspects in the Tectonic Shift configuration being: when Saturn and Lunar Nodes square; when Uranus and North Node conjunct, and the eclipses in Scorpio-Taurus. Let’s observe what plays out when these occur and when they are activated by other astrological points along the way.
Besides those, I should mention two more key features of 2022 that, although not our focus right now, are of great importance and, when combining with the Tectonic Shift aspects, amplify even more the significance of the moment and its occurrences. They are: the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, exact in April, at the same time of the Saturn – Nodes square; and the US Pluto Return, in Feb/Jul/Dec 2022. It all connects. But, as previously explained, this essay focuses on the Uranus-related dimension.
We start from December 2021, when the third hit of the Saturn-Uranus square took place, as the Lunar Nodes were entering Scorpio-Taurus. The Tectonic Shift really began there, with the combination of the Tectonic Dance and the Lunar Nodes Groove.

- Bank of Russia and People’s Bank of China work on connecting Russian and Chinese financial messaging systems
Announcement by Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, who also points to the beginning of the development of information transfer schemes using blockchains, including the digital ruble and the digital yuan.
Mar 17 – Mercury the messenger sextile technological Uranus in money Taurus.
- Gas for Rubles decree
Mar 31 – ruler of tangible goods Venus square Nodes; Neptune trine Nodes.
With the daring, game changer Gas for Rubles decree, comes the month of April, where the two main vectors of the general transits coincide, or should we say: Tectonic Shift meets Multipolar Ship (Saturn-Nodes square meets Jupiter-Neptune conjunction).
And they meet not just because these aspects perfect in the same month are big enough to be considered as encompassing that whole month, but also because the Lunar Nodes are squaring Saturn, whilst trining and sextiling Jupiter-Neptune.
Moreover, Venus, ruler of Taurus – thus dispositor of the North Node – joins the Jupiter and Neptune conjunction, as a guest of honor (she is exalted in Pisces) when the Multipolar Ship sets sail. That adds massively and amplifies the already in and of itself significant Saturn-Nodes square (structural shift).
Between the sanctions inflicted by the collective West on Russia, and the necessary solutions to the hindrances and challenges they were intended to cause, the Shift gains momentum and, through adventurous waters, the Ship sets sail.
Saturn-Lunar Nodes square – exact on the 21, encompassing the month April
- Glazyev gives a couple of interviews imbedded in this astrological configuration. The distinguished economist Sergei Glazyev holds an important position at the Eurasia Economic Union and is at the forefront of what happens to be a game-changing geo-economic development: The creation of a new monetary and financial system (The Cradle, April 12, 2022). He explains how we are move into a Into a New Economic Order:
“In the first phase of the transition, countries fall back on using their national currencies and clearing mechanisms, backed by bilateral currency swaps.
The second stage of the transition will involve new pricing mechanisms that do not reference the dollar.
The third and the final stage on the new economic order transition will involve the creation of a new digital payment currency founded through an international agreement based on principles of transparency, fairness, goodwill, and efficiency.”
April-May Eclipse Season
- Meeting of BRICS Foreign Ministers
Foreign Minister Wang Yi chaired the virtual meeting of BRICS Foreign Ministers, as well as Ministers from more than a dozen countries interested in joining this political-economic alliance.
May 19 – just three days after the lunar eclipse, which is considered very much within the eclipse’s domain.
- BRICS Summit – Announcement: a new BRICS currency is coming
The new global reserve currency will be based on a basket of the BRICS national currencies and backed by precious metals.
Jun 23 – Pallas conjunct North Node, in exact square to Saturn; Moon at 0º Taurus.
- St Petersburg Forum
June 16-17, 2022 – Pallas conj. North Node in Taurus.
In addition to President Putin’s words on the economy of real assets, quoted above, in the same event Sergey Glazyev stated:
“I invite the African continent to cooperate with EAEU in creating a new financial and economic architecture.”
“Maybe we still have a small volume of trade but our relations are not overshadowed by any conflicts. We easily get on with our African partners, and this mutual trust is worth its weight in gold today.”
Into July, another crossing of collectively significant vectors: Tectonic Shift meets US Pluto Return. The Uranus-North Node conjunction, crucial part of the Tectonic Shift, takes place in July and August, the exact being on the 26. The second our of three hits of the US Pluto Return occurs in July, exact on the 11. The whole month can be considered to combine these two astrological events.

- Biden goes to Saudi Arabia and receives NO for an answer
US President visits Riyadh to ask the Saudi Prince MBS to increase oil production. Receives “No!” for an answer. Biden threatens the Saudis saying that there will be “tangible consequences” – a pretty interesting choice of words. It makes one ponder, how tangible and how consequential has United States been in its financial and economic dealings? If we are to consider the US debt, for instance, not so much.
Jul 19 – Uranus conjunct North Node; US Pluto Return.
- Iran-Russia Energy Cooperation
A rather more promising and effective visit taking place at this time is the President Putin’s to to Tehran, further strengthening cooperation between Iran and Russia. The national Oil Company of Iran and the Russian energy giant Gazprom sign a primary agreement for energy cooperation worth approximately 40 billion dollars.
Jul 19 – Uranus conjunct North Node.
Within the Uranus-North Node, right at the transition from July into August, the Taiwan question is triggered, as US provokes China with Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, increasing tensions. Note that when Saturn aspected the Nodes, the US intensified tensions with Russia; when Uranus aspects the Nodes here, the US intensifies tensions with China.
- SPFS, the Russian ‘SWIFT’
Russia has offered the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries to join its financial messaging system (SPFS), the Russian equivalent of SWIFT.

Russia is proposing a new standard to compete with the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), which manipulates precious metals markets to depreciate prices.

Russia and India no longer need US dollar. The two countries have successfully stablished a mechanism for mutual settlements in rubles and rupees, BRICS president Purnima Anand says.

Iran signs memorandum to become a full member, bringing a proposal to create a new single currency for trading amongst members. One important decision taken at the SCO Summit was to expand trading in the national currencies of the member states.

Oct 5 – Moon in Aquarius, conjuncting Saturn, squaring South Node in Scorpio, and squares Uranus and North Node (which perfected conjunction around the time of Biden’s visit to Riyadh)

“First of all, it is now evident that the only reason the United States tolerates the Saudi regime and their crimes is because of their oil production. - Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session, the panel’s topic being Global Energy in a Multipolar World. In his speech, he proposes:
“We could move the lost volume of transit through the Nord Stream pipelines along the bottom of the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea region and thus make Turkiye the main route for the supply of our fuel, our natural gas to Europe and create a major gas hub for Europe in Turkiye, if, of course, our partners are interested in seeing this happen. It is an economically viable project with much higher safety levels as can be seen from recent events.”

Qatar will send Sinopec 4 million tons of LNG a year starting in 2026.
Nov 21 – within the Eclipse’s lunation, with the Sun still in Scorpio and trining Neptune.
Also around the time of the eclipse conjunct Uranus in Taurus:
- Patrushev visits Tehran – with representatives of key Russian economic agencies.
- Putin and Erdogan discussed by phone the creation of the Gas Hub in Turkey.
- Lavrov states: more than 12 countries want to join BRICS.
- Saudi Minister: Xi will visit Riyadh.

Gold – record central bank buying
Central banks globally have been accumulating gold reserves at a furious pace, last seen 55 years ago when the U.S. dollar was still backed by gold. According to the World Gold Council (WGC), central banks bought a record 399 tones of gold worth around $20 billion in the third quarter of 2022 (Reuters) –Nov 1.
US Treasuries
Foreign holdings of Treasuries in September dropped to lowest since May 2021, according to US Treasury report. (Reuters) –Nov 16.
And this – the issue of trust:
Oil for Gold
In addition, just in time to be included in the extended presentation of this work and still in the month of the eclipse in Taurus, on Nov 24, comes the news from Ghana: “Ghana’s government is negotiating a new policy regime where it will use its gold rather than its USD reserves to buy oil products,” Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia. The cedi depreciated by more than 50% against the dollar over the last year.
Gold, in fact, is real money.
Considerations
With Russia’s reserves in dollars, euros, pounds and yen having been frozen, other countries paid attention and now they know. Having their reserves in those currencies might not be quite so safe, after all. And dedollarization-in-the-making got a boost.
Many are the nations decreasing their dollar reserves and selling their US Treasury bonds – including Japan, China (the two countries which hold the most US treasuries), and petrodollar Saudi Arabia.
On the other hand, the amount of gold being purchased by central banks has materially increased. Gold is money and commodities are tangible and real.
And so is the cornucopia of the multipolar world being forged, with many countries joining forces to generate the power to provide, working to find and to create the means to survive, to thrive and to prosper.
Dedollarization is an ongoing process. And the transition of systems is an ongoing process, with epic challenges – this is an epic crossing. As astrological points travel in the sky and aspect the main players, the events keep on giving.
Activations, either big or small, tense or favorable, may occur through the different transits. Considering just some of the hard ones (square, conjunction, opposition), I will mention a few worth paying attention to until May 2023 – when Jupiter ingresses in Taurus, upping the cornucopia game – such as:
- Full Moon square Uranus (Feb 5);
- Sun square Nodes (Jan 28);
- Sun’s last conjunction to Saturn in Aquarius (Feb 16);
- Black Moon in Leo square Lunar Nodes (lasts about 3 weeks, peaks on Mar 8);
- Venus conjunct North Node (Mar 21) and Uranus (Mar 30-31);
- Mars’ ingress in Leo (May 20), immediately forming a grand-square at the end of May with Pluto (21), Jupiter (23) and Lunar Nodes (25).
There are still two eclipses in the Axis of Scorpio-Taurus in 2023.
And May is really full-on, with Jupiters ingress to Taurus (May 16) and a truly Jupiterian sequence, which includes a New Moon in a Taurus stellium (May 19); his squares with Pluto (exact on May 17) and Mars (ext May 23); and his conjunction to the North Lunar Node (ext May 27).
In April 2024 the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction will happen. Although the Lunar Nodes will change signs in mid July 2023, the continuation of the the Taurus Emphasis and its related processes go on developing due to this important conjunction of Jupiter-Uranus in 2024.
The Jupiter in Taurus conjunctions are strong, highly significant moments for geoeconomics, heading in the multipolar direction. As aspects unfold, the world shifts. May Jupiter in Taurus bless us with the wisdom of the Cornucopia.
