The Sun was at 29º Aquarius when Pluto was discovered. Now, it is in the Sun’s company that, for the first time since his discovery, Pluto has ingressed into Aquarius. That is the sign in which he was when Renaissance man Copernicus elucidated the fact that the Sun is the center of our system, being the Earth and her fellow planets the ones to orbit around the Sun. Published in 1543, De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium (On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres) presented Copernicus’s heliocentric model, astronomically amplifying our horizons, so to speak.
Pluto had been also in Aquarius in the years of the Proto Renaissance, at the transition from the 13th to the 14th century, when Giotto and Dante had already been born.
Although the French-derived term Renaissance only became widely used to refer to the historical period much later, in the mid 19th century, it was first coined as rinascita, meaning rebirth, by Giorgi Vasari, in his work The Lives of the Artists, published in 1550, also with Pluto in Aquarius.
Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio and its trademark is transformation, destruction and/or regeneration, with a Phoenix potential for rebirth. Aquarius is a Fixed, thus logical, Air sign, which point to the sharing of ideas in the polis. It can be highly scientific and technological, as a signifier of horizons and broader systemic understanding, which is ruled by Uranus, the sky in Greek, Aquarius is space – be it outer or inner.
According to Oxford Reference’s historical timeline, it was in 420 BC, when Pluto happened to be Aquarius as well, that the Greek philosopher Democritus declared matter is composed of indivisible and indestructible atoms, that everything is composed of atoms and, between them, there lies empty space.
There is inner space, outer space, and the space of shared ideas. Aquarius also signifies groups of shared goals, gatherings of equals, of friends, and of peoples – the polis, operating towards ideals and an envisioned future.
Empowered Through Cooperation
A shared future for mankind, as Xi Jinping would put it. That is the promise of the Great Mutation, one of the major aspects configuring the change of the world-system which is unfolding in this decade. It occurred in 2020 at Zero Aquarius, and it is on this very degree of the Great Mutation that Pluto is now, opening one more of its gates. Enhancing the Aquarian edge, this transit is part of the broader opening act of the Great Mutation and the change of the world-system. Albeit, as is his nature, power-lord Pluto is one who indicates the challenges we must cross for transformation to come about.
As I have stated in previous works, Pluto in Aquarius is an unmistakable indicative of China’s rise to being officially the number one economic power. At the occasion of the 20th CPC Congress (Oct 2022), I wrote:
The new era for Chinese power will flourish with Pluto (power) in Aquarius (new era) which starts in 2023/24 and reaches in 2024 and 2025 China’s Ascendant, entering its 1st house, the house of identity and the nation itself.
Mr Xi warned the country must be prepared for “strong winds and high waves and even dangerous storms”.
Yes, it sure must. It’s Pluto in Aquarius and on China’s AC and Moon – 2023 to 2026.
Empowering, but precisely because of that, dangerous…
To counter and compensate for the dangers of Pluto, directed Venus, and progressed Venus and Jupiter on AC/Moon to the rescue: great are the challenges, but so is the mantle of flowers.
A “bright future” ahead in time, indeed.
No, not the WEF’s dream.
The “Chinese dream”: a “great modern socialist country” – marked in the Mandates of Heaven.
And so is the Multipolar World, with the significance of Russia also written in the stars.
The very partnership of Russia and China, and Putin and Xi are alchemy which brings this new world into existence. The astro combination of the two leaders is, in fact, impressive.
Each nation with different contributions – different characteristics – for an Aquarian time not of a “one star only” unipolarity, but rather the multipolarity of multiple stars shining in the sky.
A few months later, in March 2023, the meeting of Putin and Xi in Moscow (Mar 20-22) brought us Pluto’s first ingress into Aquarius (Mar 23). Russia-China no-limits strategic partnership was not only confirmed but strengthened further in its more-than-allies bond. That same month, with Iran and Saudi Arabia resuming ties, an impressive diplomatic rejuvenation had just begun in West Asia. Refreshing winds in the geopolitical polis, renewing the dynamics of power – and here arrived Pluto in Aquarius.
Now he ingresses for the second time on this degree and, after another brief and final moment in Capricorn in the second semester, it will be in November 2024 that he fully ingresses into Aquarius, transiting there for the next two decades.
Power (Pluto) to the peoples (Aquarius) is the key here – as well as the use of power to benefit the people, that’s what makes it legit. It works well when used to bring benefits to the people. Power is now enhanced by being shared, enhanced through cooperation – each bringing a unique contribution.
Peoples of the world, organize! Operate together.
As Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the SVR (Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service), put it: “The West’s desire for world domination will collapse only when it encounters a serious, organised resistance.”
Resistance will see Renaissance
The Axis of Resistance in West Asia is an outstanding example of uniting forces and combining efforts amongst friends. Despite the West’s difficulties in conceiving of such a network without one single manipulative power ruling over others, AnsarAllah is Yemen. It is not merely a tribal militia working for Iran, it is not an Iranian proxy, as many still say. AnsarAllah is, in fact, the governing force for a sovereign Yemen, governing the majority of the Yemini people. And they are acting in the region as they see fit – coordinating with their allies, but deciding and acting for themselves. Each player in the axis decides for itself and contributes the way it can to help its friends, working towards a common ideal, the liberation of the region from the perverse empire and its tentacles. Some friends have more means than others; some have other means. Combining the different means and characteristics makes the axis stronger and resistance more effective.
Make no mistake: Pluto in Aquarius will see a free Palestine – it’s time. Sacrifices won’t be in vain. Renaissance is on its way.
Another interesting example is found in the BRICS nations, having more complex differences amongst them. Nonetheless, sharing fundamental ideals for a multipolar and fairer world makes them also able to articulate interesting moves, where unique contributions find support to be carried out internationally.
Who could have more legitimacy to call out an apartheid regime before an international court but South Africa? No one else in the international polis would’ve been able to address the matter more acutely than South Africans.
Such invaluable contribution for resolving the situation in Palestine can count on having the support of some BRICS members, such as Russia and China, who can step in when it is their turn, when it is their specific contribution that can be the most effective to a common purpose.
Since it is not a block, to each their own, Aquarianly so. India, again, chose the colonisers’ side. How viable some different stances are, and how much they may change or not, is to be seen along the journey.
Seeing the broader picture, the system’s intertwinements, and how to operate together as equals, yet each being unique, that’s the Aquarian way – many unique stars lighting up the vast sky. Combined, stars form constellations and a 360º zodiac – with them, seasons and means, cycles of progress, and orientation for navigation.
The efforts of the broader Axis of Resistance connecting the global globe, as Lukashenko would put it, articulating and integrating different forums and organisations, aiming for a shared future, will see a Renaissance emerge from Eurasia. There’s yet so much to be seen ahead, nonetheless, it is actually already coming about. I can vouch it’s breeze can be felt in the streets of Moscow, as well as in forums like the Russia-Africa Summit (Jul 2023), and other places connected to the Eurasia Integration and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Dystopia vs. Renaissance
There’s a stark contrast between how people in the West and people in Eurasia perceive the future. Dystopia being currently the name of the game in Western societies, there’s very often a sense of doom or a difficulty in conceiving of an actual brighter future in concrete terms. It is still hard to imagine, in the West, how a brighter future any time soon may look like. Even though the dangers and complexities of our times are perceived world-widely, in Eurasia, there is a sense of future. People sense there are developments ahead, realities to be materialized, unfoldings to be seen and experienced. Whilst individual perceptions may vary in both major regions of the world, the general expectations found in each of them do contrast significantly. The difference is in whether one is more tuned to the old world which is dying, or the new world in the making. Dangers exist in both dimensions – one more prone to cynicism or despair; another more infused with valour and anticipation.
As the interpretation given by Solar Fire astrology software for Pluto in Aquarius plainly says: “This is the generation of world cooperation. People in this generation have the ability to make scientific breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.”
Notwithstanding, Pluto in Aquarius presents also some creepy challenges, such as transhumanism, the misuse of AI and other technological means for the purpose of manipulation and abuse; and the lurking dangers of radioactive destruction.
Now, Pluto’s assets can either destroy, or fertilize and regenerate. The dark and dangerous potential must be seen for what it is with no denial, precisely to transform it, to do the alchemy for the better, where we are not destroyed, but made stronger and more alive.
Pluto is also the Kundalini, the vital force that is now elevated. Mind you: from Capricorn to Aquarius, Earth to Air. Once again, what was solid now mutates into air – sublimation. For all people and things Scorpio, the sign ruled by Pluto, this transit can be now highly liberating and elevating. It is an elevation of the Kundalini, a sublimation, taking us higher.
With that in mind, in Part Two of Dystopian Renaissance, we observe some of the good, the bad and the radioactive topics related to Pluto in Aquarius.
