This Eclipse Season touches the financial and economic shifts right on the money, with the two eclipses activating once again the TECTONIC DANCE (Saturn-Uranus square) and the LUNAR NODES GROOVE in the economic axis of money and resources (Taurus-Scorpio) which, when aspected, have been marking significant, although at times discrete, moments in the change of the the system we are undergoing.
The first, on October 25, eclipsed the root of the EU’s astrological chart, with the European continent been one of the places where its shadow was cast. The second one occurs right on the day of the USA’s midterm elections, on November 8. Its shadow is cast in several places, including the Wild West of the United States.
Eclipse seasons happen twice a year, last for 2 weeks (sometimes, a month) and are a moment in time for the imponderable – where the luminaries, the references, are momentarily suspended. Atavic patterns are either enhanced or overcome. Through this peculiar dimensional opening, with Sun, Moon and Earth in alignment, the threads of destiny are realigned.
The Lunar Nodes are the keys marking where the ecliptic, path of the Sun, and the Moon’s obit cross each other and connect, hence indicating where eclipses occur, where the luminaries align from the Earth’s perspective.
They function sort of like a karmic housekeeping period that happen twice a year.
Atavic patterns, personal and collective memories might resurface – and be resignified. How do we digest, at a deeper level, what we experienced for the past 6 months? And what possible new endeavours are in store for the months ahead? Experiences and longings are signified or resignified. Some things are simply eclipsed, others may be highlighted.
About a month ahead of its occurrence, the themes of a certain eclipse can start to play out, remaining active in the collective for half a year, until the next eclipse season.
The 2-week season is usually a strong period, a time for the imponderable, where references (Sun and Moon) are suspended and reset. The very suspension of the lights allows for going beyond our previous references. However, they might stir up atavic levels of experience, reverberating memory strings and/or realigning the threads of destiny. They relate to the masses, to the collective movement, and will be more or less intense at a personal level depending on how each eclipse relates to each person’s personal chart.
The comprehension of an eclipse draws from a few different approaches to it, one being their very astrological chart and the degrees where they occur, as well as the hard aspects they form – most importantly close conjunctions – to planets and other astrological points in the current sky. That chart can then be observed in how it touches the charts of people, countries, institutions.
The Tone set by the Season
The first eclipse of this season has touched the Sun in the United Nation’s chart and the IC (root and foundation) of the European Union.
Both eclipses relate strongly to Brazil’s moment, with the first having conjuncted Lula’s Sun and Brazil’s Mars, and the second conjuncting Bolsonaro’s Mars. In Lula’s case with Venus’s favor; in Bolsonaro’s case, with Uranus’s changes and surprises. The martial ones, the high ranks of the Armed Forces of Brazil (Mars), eclipsed – back to shadow play (to some extent – partial eclipse).
The first eclipse happened in Scorpio and in conjunction to Venus, imbedded in the Venus Star Point – a highly significant one, as the star point moved into Libra (29º), marking the urge for a fairer world. It was conjunct Vladimir Putin’s Ascendant too, also activated by directed Pluto, intensifying power.
Venus being the dispositor of the North Lunar Node in Taurus, which indicates the way to go, only intensifies the very eclipse season and the shifting potential of the Lunar Nodes Groove, which calls for consistency, highlights commodities and hard assets, and points to the importance of physical silver and gold.
The second eclipse occurs in Taurus and conjunct Uranus, right on the money. Uranus is energy, Taurus is matter. Matter is energy, and energy matters. And it is now both eclipsed and highlighted. It makes the world go around, as sharply emphasized by the Sun and Mercury conjunction happening exactly in opposition to Uranus and the totally eclipsed Moon. Powerful insights are also in play with such a configuration. And how it all triggers structural changes is the message of Saturn in T-square being there too.
Something important to consider is where on Earth they cast their shadow. From where can they be seen? Those are the places which might be more affected by the eclipses, or rather the issues indicated by them – where they could be felt more intensely.
Saros Series have started in 1049 and 1680
Another very interesting way to more deeply comprehend eclipses is looking into their origins, the Saros series they belong to, which connects this particular moment in time to the moments of other eclipses of the same Saros series, in intervals of 18 years. We see when the series begin, since the chart of the series’ first is of great importance, as it sets the tone of that specific series. We then check its list of eclipses, which in full extends over a millennium, and can observe events around the time of those dates in previous times. There’s a karmic memory thread running through the series, which could be activated every 18 years, until the series ends.
They happen in pairs, more rarely in trios (at times of series transitions). Their Saros series might start and finish at different times, hundreds of years apart, but once joint, they move along together, reoccurring every 18 years, until one of their series ends. The ‘widowed’ series is then joined by a new series.
The connection between the different moments every 18 years can be more or less significant, depending on the combination of variables (type, locality, degrees, aspects etc) and, especially, the current transits going on. How all these elements combine is what will define an eclipse’s meanings and relevance, and what is to be highlighted about each of them.
These seasons shadow events belong to Saros Solar 124, which began in 1049, and Lunar 136, which began in 1680. In 1049, the impressively enduring Iron Pagoda of Kaifeng was built, in China, strengthening the structure of something previously built. The recent CPC congress was an impactful one, giving that same impression of strengthening the previous structure. In the year of 1680, the Pueblo Revolt took place in Santa Fe and nowadays New Mexico region. Interestingly, the shadow of the ‘mid term eclipse’ is cast over the wild West of the United States – makes one wonder what are the ancestors up to.
Feel free to dive into the Saros rabbit whole, if you wish, by clicking in the links of each series down bellow, taking you to the list of eclipses and their dates.
These series where active in 1914 and we see how concerns of world war circulate the globe. These eclipses access the collective memory thread and unresolved issues can reemerge – to be resignified. 1932, 1950, 1968, 1986, 2004 – all these years are connected to the currently activated Saros series. Some things are history; other things in history could demand clarification, resignification, resolution.
