Black Moon Lilith in Taurus is about materializing and shaping the mode in which energy flows in us, by a visceral resistance to libido, to the sexual impulse and the very life force pulsating in our bodies.

It comes after the peculiarly complex transit of Black Moon Lilith in Aries, which was neptunized by the square between Mars and Neptune in its ingress, as I’ve previously explained, when the visceral drive to act and sharply respond, typical of BML in Aries, was neutralized and anesthetized by Neptunian diversion and blur, and the fear of contagion.

Protests all around the globe were on the rise just when CoVid-19 hit it. Where would all the rage of the Raging Twenties go now? Any possible action had to find its ninja ways. Keeping a vibrant body was a warrior’s basic challenge as lockdowns and the many sorts of physical restrictions were suddenly imposed. The intensified visceral urge to move and exist faced peculiar and unforeseen challenges.

By October 2020, an odd sense of “getting accustomed with” the imposed “new ways” of being, as well as the resistance to be subjectively molded by them, become the issue.

How are physical restrictions affecting our subjectivity? And how is the psychological dimension of the current CoVid-19 state of the world affecting our bodies and shaping our perception? These are crucial issues during this Black Moon Lilith in Taurus transit.

Black Moon Lilith concerns, in astrology, the most visceral dimension of our experience. It relates to what Jacques Lacan named the Real – the raw experience of being in a physical body, this piece of flesh we inhabit, the dimension of that which cannot be fully elaborated through words and images (the other two dimensions of human experience, the Symbolic and the Imaginary), the very dimension of the Impossible.

In Earth signs, such as Taurus, BML is a visceral resistance to basic impulses. In this case, the impulse of sexuality and transformation, life and death matters.

In the fixed sign of Taurus, BML operates with our Imaginary, articulating with our ideas and conceptions which contribute to molding our very physical existence. This BML position is astonishingly potent in how it can affect the physical body and materialize issues to be experienced at a more concrete level. The link between the psychological and the physical is further emphasized by this transit.

The earthly visceral resistance to both libido and transformation will stir up issues regarding not only the body but matter – in many ways, possibly affecting other typical Taurean topics such as money and finances, objects and resources, real pleasure Vs compulsive indulgence, to deserve and to value, touch and textures.

Most of all, it’s a matter of how our physical experience is molded and what its subjective implications are.

Turkish landscape in Cappadocia – Turkey’s astrological chart has Black Moon in Taurus.

On an important note, Black Moon Lilith can be indicative of both visceral difficulty and the potential for visceral talent regarding a certain theme, related to the sign it is in – either lack or excess of something, as well as the potential to mastery, which results from knowing deeply a certain challenge.

What’s odd with Taurean themes? And how viscerally sublime can they get?

Observing those who happen to have that Black Moon Lilith position in their natal astrological charts is always a more tangible way to further grasp what the transit is about.

Two people are quite interesting and instructive to consider in parallel, as they are both clearly concerned with the articulation of body and mind, although in radically distinct manners – René Descartes and Wilhelm Reich.

Let us start with the father of Cartesian dichotomy, philosopher Renée Descartes, who conceived mind and body to be two completely different substances, radically separated from one another. Descartes came to conclude himself to be “a thinking thing”, and argues to prove that we know the existence of the mind better than we know the existence of the body.

Psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich, on the other hand, investigated how body and mind intertwine. How does the psyche affect the body and how does the body shape the mind?

According to Dr. Wilhelm Reich, emotional states manifest themselves in the body creating what he coined an armor. The armor is the somatic counterpart of psychic defenses. It could be understood as a blockage of libido, of the life force in the body, restraining it in a way which diminishes the fullness of a person’s life, his or her development and flourishing. When shadows control our body, these armors control the way we think, know and feel.

For Reich (Wilhelm), fascism lies not merely in external procedures, but inside humans and in their practice at a very personal level.

Unblocking the vital energy retained in the armor, liberates the flow of life not only at a physical level, but also subjectively, affecting how life is perceived and experienced.

“Once we open to the flow of energy within our body,

we open to the flow of energy within the Universe.”

Wilhelm Reich

Vivienne Westwood, designer and mother of punk, deconstructed the clothes of her teenage years in London into the look that would launch a thousand safety pins, chains and bondages into fashion. Customizing clothes, she evidenced restrains and dismantled armors.

Sensitive to the incongruities of society and critical to the unsustainable world of capitalism, she denounced the Rot Dollar (2019). “We say that overpopulation is a problem, stabbing is a problem, but all of these things are a direct result of the rotten financial system,” says Westwood.

Attentive to the soft power of form when delivering content, or as she puts it, “you look great people will listen to you more”, she fiercely advocates for Culture not Consumption (Summer 2016), recycling her own clothes, yet making outstanding objects of desire, such as her emblematic and exquisite corset:

“Les Femmes ne connaissent pas toute leur coquetterie.” (Women do not know all their coquetry.)

A designer of a different style, Valentino, fully embraced the love of objects and the sophistication of textures.

Texture is a BML in Taurus word. Texture which results from the visceral resistance to libido can bring appeal into form, in various ways – including text, conjuring a tangible edge to it, as in the writings of Fernando Pessoa, Edgar Allan Poe or Bob Dylan.

From the composer of Visions of Johanna, we move on to the composer of Johannes Passion, Johannes Sebastian Bach. His musical explorations express the order of the physical and biological universe in sophisticated harmonic, written to express the divine beauty in all creation. One of his most elaborated pieces has a rather interesting title: Widerstehe doch der Suende, or simply Resist Sin.

Rudolf von Laban, dance artist and theorist, was viscerally attentive to the body’s extension in space, in volume and depth, observing the relation between body, space, effort and shape.

His work in expressionist dance is considered to have liberated movement from its formal constrains.

“From every muscle contraction, there’s a relaxation.”

Rudolf von Laban

The superb tango master Rodolfo Dinzel highlighted the distinction between “la forma y la manera”, emphasizing the manner in which a dancer presents the form. It isn’t merely a question of forming a certain shape, but the manner in which that shape is done. In other words, how the life force pulsates in a certain way to create form is the real deal.

Textures, textures – in text and lyrics, in musical harmony, in shapes formed by a dancer’s body, in the effects of Van Gogh’s brush on canvas, in the objects of desire and the desire for objects, as well as in the perception of what is odd in the fabric of the economy and finance.

Argentinean president Néstor Kirchner put in all his efforts and paid the debt to the IMF in 2005, taking Argentina off its hook. In the next decade, however, Mauricio Macri, sitting on the presidential chair, delivered the country to the IMF all over again. Two sides of the BML in Taurus coin.

During such a transit, when possible, it is advisable to end debt and settle pending material matters – better resolve and not create, detaching from material issues that may be blocking the flow of energy in life.

The life of opulence and extravagant excesses of the naïve Marie Antoinette in detriment of the people got her the nickname Madame Déficit and eventually led her to the guillotine.

That is not to say that abundance and the enjoyment of goods is not advisable during this transit – no. It is in fact advisable! But in the proper flow with life, where matter and resources are appreciated and not abused.

Mentioning the abuse of resources at the expense of the people, an event comes to mind: the Great Reset by the World Economic Forum – an event in the end of January 2021 but, more then that, a plan by the 0,001% or so to rebrand capitalism and avoid the Great Mutation of the World-System. By supposedly changing from Shareholder Capitalism to Stakeholder Capitalism, Karl Schwab and the Davos crew intend to appease the hungry and jobless masses. Operating the narrative for a “much needed reset” of the economy and the world, they aim to reset the very same system, only this time on steroids, with the help of technological advancements such as artificial intelligence, genetic engineering and the digitalization of life.

Who owns the land? Who controls the money – not just the big bucks but your everyday means of payment? What goes into your body? Who decides?

“You will own nothing and be happy”, they say. But billionaires will own it all.

That goes into the specifics of BML’s major aspect during this transit: her conjunction to Uranus.

In and of itself BML-Uranus would be a significant gig, but even more so when Uranus is the dispositor of the Great Mutation (one of the most important aspects happening in at least a couple of centuries) and, if that was not even enough, the exact conjunction of BML-Uranus happens less than 24h apart from the exact Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, which marks the Great Mutation.

URANUS IN TAURUS (2018-2026):

Changes in the way we conceive matter and material things. Detachment from matter. Sublimation of matter (solid turns into gas). Digitalization of money and crypto currencies. Automation. Technological advancements which are materialized. Technology altering matter. Technology Vs. Organicity.

…with BLACK MOON LILITH in TAURUS:

The organic has to deal with the technological, and the technological has to include the organic. There is no way to prevent technological advancements.

However, technological advances should honor the organic dimension of life. Although much is increasingly digital and virtual, our life here on Earth cannot be sustain without the body. We will advance a lot technologically,

but there is an organic dimension that cannot be ignored.

That’s what Black Moon Lilith teaches us by being in exact conjunction with Uranus, the dispositor of the Great Mutation. Divinely synchronized at the very moment of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction.

Our BODIES now are optimally bodies of Desire, in the psychoanalytical sense, as in, bodies filled with life force, with libido, the creative force of life, not mere objectified pieces of flesh, managed through and by technology.

The nefarious potential of the Aquarian emphasis is the control of society through technology. The so-called Great Reset, advocated by Karl Schwab, as its front man, is one spooky plan the ultra rich are trying to impose on humanity, as a means to avoid “multipolar chaos”, further social uprisings and revolutions.

The forces trying to reset the collapsing system into yet more depriving forms are powerful and a new world-system might seem impossible. But this is precisely a time – not just this period of BML in Taurus but the greater cycle it marked itself into when conjuncting the Great Mutation’s dispositor… This is precisely a time for embodying the impossible.

The Black Moon, lest we not forget, has the potential for either the terrifying or the sublime.

Black Moon Lilith in Taurus is about shaping the life force in us, with the potential to beautify our existence and enhance the texture of our art and the art of living, Embodying the Impossible.
