At the Venus-Black Moon Star-Point

August 22, 2023

As the 21st century began, in 2001, the name was stated. The gods of multipolarity played a trick on neoliberalism, and made one of its economists their messenger, to baptize a union of forces and resources that would have an importance far greater than its godfather could really conceive.

Goldman Sachs economist Jim O’Neill coined the term BRIC, to describe fast-growing economies that would collectively dominate the global economy by 2050 – namely, Brazil, Russia, India and China. What O’Neill did not foresee was the role of this grouping in the actual change of the world-system, as one of the main forums and mechanisms for cooperation between nations for a new polycentric system in a multipolar world.

The states referred to in the acronym began talks on the sidelines of the G8 in St Petersburg in July 2006, as the Lunar North Node transited Pisces, the actual sign of the shawl and multipolarity (who would have thought…).  A couple of constructive meetings occurred in 2008, both at ministerial and at presidential levels – one of the astrological highlights being Neptune conjunct the North Lunar Node (then in Aquarius). On June 16, 2009, in Yekaterinburg, its first Summit took place and the BRIC came formally into existence. Uranus was then in Neptune-ruled Pisces, on the same degree Neptune is now, and was conjuncted by the Moon that day.

In 2011, as the gods of multipolarity again whispered, the fifth member’s name had to start with the letter S, to properly multiply. South Africa joined the group, now called BRICS.

In 2014, in Fortaleza, a treaty was signed and the BRICS’ New Development Bank was founded – with the Sun in Cancer applying to conjunct Jupiter, planet expansion. In 2015, in Shanghai, with the highly auspicious conjunction between the two benefic planets Venus and Jupiter in the sign of Leo, forming a fire trine to the Moon and Uranus in pioneer Aries, the treaty came into force. Based in Shanghai, offices have been opened also in Johannesburg and Sao Paulo.

In 2022, one of the major aspects marking the change of the world-system occurred, encompassing the months March and April. Again a Pisces mark – a major one, in fact: the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, activator of the unfolding of the Great Mutation. As Western sanctions on Russia impacted the world’s economy and the seizure of Russia’s assets by Western countries scared the hell out of other Global South nations, many started to see in BRICS a possible way out of full Western dominance. By May 2022, about a dozen countries were interested observers in the BRICS foreign ministers meeting – the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction was joined by Venus, ruler of relations.

Studying all these significant moments in the cooperation mechanism of BRICS, make is clear how its purpose is consistently in the direction of expansion, inclusion, multiplying, and – by the gods’ whispers – bringing about multipolarity.

Albeit, being a truly multipolar entity and building consensus might, at times, demand a more refined dedication than that of groupings where the majority is subjected to one dominant power. And this a moment of such a challenge. A moment when each member’s concerns must be brought to the table with sincerity,  and resolved through open dialogue – no pretence, no sitting on the fence. Clear stances and noble gestures, when sincere, can reconsider and reshape relations. Greater is the one who serves, says the Persian royal star Regulus, illuminated by the Sun during the 2023 Summit. But to be in conditions to serve, first do stand your own ground, says the North Node in Aries. The Leo key (Black Moon, Venus Star-Point, and the current lunation): strengthening sovereignty is crucial, more than ever.

The Scorpio Moon during the Summit will take things deep – its serious business time, with Pluto being in Capricorn in trine with Mars in Virgo, wanting solid improvement.

Venus Retrograde, already rising as Morning Star, renewed by her conjunction to the Sun, allows for reconfiguring relations in a new light. And also indicates high-profile relations or partners of great value.

Mercury going into retrograde motion in Virgo during the Summit speaks of reassessments and refinements. From this Summit going forward, refining and practically improving procedures and mechanisms is the way for consolidating greater objectives.

And you know what? It is quite good that no new reserve currency is to be launched just yet. It would have both Venus and Mercury in retrograde motion – not a favourable condition for a currency to be launched. Rewriting systems and means to facilitate trade, however, can be quite favourable, when considering strategic goals – Mercury conjuncting Pallas, goddess of strategy, geopolitics, and chess.

The golden 5-pointed star and 5-petaled rose of Venus is drawn in space at this time, reshaping values and relations, and gradually redesigning our world, as a green door opens in the wall – by the Full Moon this will be more evident.

Happening in one of the most astrologically significant moments of the year when, in the months of July and August, the brilliant Leo configuration which strongly affirms Sovereignty is Gold, the historical BRICS Summit forms an impactful composition with the II Russia-Africa Summit and the MCIS 2023, the latter focused on security.

“As a Russian proverb goes, the road to success is always bumpy and tortuous. And the Chinese people often say: turn stumbling bumps into stepping stones”, stated the Chinese Defence Minister Li Shangfu at the MCIS.

Through the challenges, a multipolar world order is being forged. In the words of Russian Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin at the MCIS 2023:

“BRICS are really bricks in the foundation of a multipolar world. More and more bricks will join this construction. And no beast will be able to destroy this building.”

On the day of BRICS founding, the Moon transited from Pisces to Aries, thus passing through the Zero Aries degree, so significant in this great change of world-system we are experiencing in the current decade – with, yet, much ahead. Uranus, ruler of horizons, was then at 26º Pisces, conjunct Juno, goddess of partnerships and legitimacy. It is on this degree that Neptune in right now, conjuncting BRICS’ natal Uranus and Juno. It is also on this degree that Saturn in Pisces will conjunct the North Lunar Node, in 2025, ahead of his major meeting with Neptune at Zero Aries.

Now, whilst with the North Lunar Node transits in Aries (until December 2024), the situation is: stand your own ground, strengthen your core, and let us see who are the brave, for they will naturally lead.

By the time the North Lunar Node moves into Pisces, a greater level of surrender to the multipolar waters will be unavoidable. Nevertheless, with the great multipolarity ruler Neptune at 26º Pisces right now, the shawl, unmistakably multiplies, expands.

As for who the new members are to be next, I won’t analyse here all the applicants, but I will make a few considerations.

Iran is an obvious new member also astrologically, observing how the Venus Star-Point touched its chart, with some glamorous Black Moon in Leo mystique and favourable Neptune transits.

Saudi Arabia, signifier of the petrodollar, is in an excellent timing for doing such a move and joining the BRICS, if accepted. The time is now, this second semester of 2023, as Pluto conjuncts the Saudi Saturn – a transit which started around the time when Saudi Arabia announced it could start to accept Yuan for its oil.  Structural game changer also for the Saudis really – empowerment to use wisely. In the next few months, the window of transformation from an empowered stance is still open. A year from now, the country’s rulership could undergo some challenges and not be in such a momentous position. Better restructure things before that – having the right partners can make all the difference.

President Vladimir Putin did not mention dedollarization in this first day, during his speech at the BRICS Business Forum, casually, – of course. This is not a moment for a new reserve currency to be launched. It is, nonetheless, a moment to further facilitate trade in national currencies and, by a combination of moves, intensify dedollarization.

For that, of course, we must consider the US astrological chart. And yes, there are indicators of losses and of transformations in regards to its ‘friends’, groups, social contexts, as Directed Pluto squares natal Venus, ruler of 11th house – peaking on August 27, 2023. Directed Mars is conjuncting the Moon, and Directed Saturn reaches Mars, in the house of the other – partners or foes. In a time when Neptune, turning Retrograde, heads to re-conjunct the IC, the root and foundation – dissolving pillars (an ongoing process of multiple hits). The Directed Pluto square Venus square alone can signify some loss which affects finance and economic power.

Dedollarization is a process – a sum of moves, a sequence of moments, as I have previously addressed. And this is one of such moments.

Bolivia might not be amongst the first ones in line, but it sure will have a great, prosperous Summit, with some fortunate astrological transits for the country. It is always good to examine relations and relational patterns carefully, as Neptune approaches a square to its Venus (not quite fully yet). But prosperity is on its side – The Leo concentration right on its Jupiter and part of Fortune.

The greatest economy of Southwest Asia and 7th greater economy in the world (PPP), Indonesia, just had a super strong Solar Return during the New Moon with Black Moon, square Uranus. It sure is an impactful, star-shine year for the nation, bringing changes and highlighting the importance of sovereignty. If it does not join BRICS quite yet, the moment is also, anyways, significant.

And the precious jewel of the year, the African continent, is sure to amplify its presence in the grouping. Algeria, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Egypt… and many more countries of the great African nation want in. Let us see how many can join now. But the theme of this year’s summit will be honoured – BRICS and Africa: Partnership for mutually accelerated growth, sustainable development and inclusive multilateralism.

BRICS by BRICS, founding a multipolar world.
